This means the premiums are the same either way. However, if you buy from an independent source, you have an ongoing resource who can assist as your needs change without any biases towards any particular company. We act as your advocate to help you get fair treatment and service from the insurance carrier. We earn commissions paid by the insurance company based upon the product you buy, but it does not increase the premium cost to you. David Higgs has been in the insurance industry over 35 years. In past executive positions, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies across the U.S. and throughout Latin America. The past 20 years, he has specialized in Individual and Group health product lines and Medicare only for last 10 years. He has Virginia resident licenses for Life & Health and Property & Casualty insurance as well as non-resident licenses in Texas, Michigan and Maine. He is AHIP certified as well as certified by the major insurance carriers of Virginia to sell their Medicare policies.
